We have a new addition to the Hidden® Coffee Roasters family of coffees, it is a new member that is positioned directly as a Competition Series.
Competition Series coffees are our highest-scoring coffees, officially rated above 90 SCA points for their processing, flavor, quality, and lack of defects. As you can imagine, these coffees are very difficult to find and are a true organoleptic explosion in the cup.
What is SCA?
Abbreviations SCA refer to the Specialty Coffee Association (Specialty Coffee Association). It is a global organization that sets quality standards for coffee, from cultivation to cupping.
In terms of assessment, the SCA uses a scoring system of 0 to 100 to classify coffees. A coffee is considered specialty coffee If you get a grade of 80 points or more in a professional tasting.
Evaluation criteria include: aroma, flavor, acidity, body, uniformity, sweetness and aftertaste.

Its rich volcanic soils make the San Francisco farm an ideal setting for growing coffee. The type of cultivation is under native shade, managed through selective logging, pruning is carried out in a traditional way and the fruit is harvested by hand-picking.Andrés Salaverria He is the fifth generation of this family dedicated to coffee growing.
