On number 59 Girona street, in the heart of Barcelona's Eixample, the walls hold a century of history. There was born in 1921 the Vendrell Farm, a place that has become a symbol for several generations of Barcelona residents: a meeting point, a must-stop to enjoy its famous cream, and a space full of everyday life.
More than a hundred years later, Hidden Coffee Roasters brings light back to this historic enclave with the opening of Hidden Farm®A project that honors the city's memory, recovers recipes and traditions, and projects them into the future with a contemporary perspective.
A heritage to be savored.
The new space rescues the original recipe of the legendary Nata Vendrell, a flavor that defined an entire era and is now served again, now alongside Hidden® specialty coffee classics. Among them, the Viennese Cafe or coffee flan with Vendrell cream, a nod to the past that becomes an icon of the present.
The gastronomic offering maintains the simplicity of old-fashioned neighborhood farms, but elevates it to perfection: Iberian ham sandwiches, bread with olive oil, bikinis, and eggs for dipping bread. Everyday dishes that, with top-quality, locally sourced ingredients, are transformed into memorable experiences.
A bridge between eras.
The architectural project, signed by Studio Animal In collaboration with the Hidden® team, he has managed to build a bridge between two worlds: the grandeur of the historical and the freshness of the present.
The venue's original architectural elements, considered part of Barcelona's heritage, coexist with a modern, clean, and open aesthetic.
The result is a welcoming and vibrant space that breathes history but invites us to look forward: a place where memories of the past meet contemporary specialty coffee culture.
